This mid-priced wine was a pleasant surprise and a great example of the typical Argentine varietal Malbec.
I heard about mapema winery in Mendoza from some fellow wine-lovers who had been wanting to try it.
Wines from O. Fournier rarely disappoint, and their economical Urban line certainly has some quality wines to offer while their higher end Crux blends are some of my special occasion favorites.
Doña Paula's 2005 Malbec impressed me: it's smooth, balanced, rich, with a nice aroma of vanilla. Mmmmmm!
Once again, Vistalba doesn't disappoint. This wine is soft, smooth and mellow with subtle hints of roble (oak).
