I had been awaiting the chance to drink this wine and ordered it in a shipment of boutique wines from Argentina.
This mid-priced wine was a pleasant surprise and a great example of the typical Argentine varietal Malbec.
I love Prodigo's label, and have been meaning to try their Malbec for quite some time. Sadly, for its price, the 2004 Prodigo Malbec is disappointing and uninspiring.
For price to quality, the Beta Crux is an exceptional wine with its dark fruit flavors, vanilla flavors and aroma and softness in the mouth.
For its price, the Diseño Malbec is a good value wine. It is dark and rich, with fruit flavors and a smooth finish.
Doña Paula's 2005 Malbec impressed me: it's smooth, balanced, rich, with a nice aroma of vanilla. Mmmmmm!
For its price, this is a great wine from one of my favorite wineries, Montes.
Once again, Vistalba doesn't disappoint. This wine is soft, smooth and mellow with subtle hints of roble (oak).
