While I have great memories of visiting Andeluna and drinking their delicious wines, I was disappointed with their 2006 Torrontés.

The 2007 Sauvignon Blanc from Trazos del Autor was a fresh, light and citric, providing a great summer night sipper.

This bright, fresh wine is a sparkling wine made from Torrontés grapes.

One of my all-time favorite Torrontés, Mounier is the perfect wine to enjoy on a hot summer day. With rich aromas balanced by a dry smooth finish, it would be tough to find a more refreshing wine.

I only wish Mil Vientos was more easily accessible in Denver. The wine is delicious: refreshing, light, aromatic, dry, with great balanced flavors.

For its price, Bodega Lurton's Torrontés is a good value wine. Although sweeter than a typical Torrontés, it still provides the aroma and is refreshing character typical of the varietal.

While Concha y Toro's line Casillero del Diablo has been a hot seller for value wines, this 2007 Reserve Merlot was nothing special: unbalanced and ultimately forgettable.

For price to quality, the Beta Crux is an exceptional wine with its dark fruit flavors, vanilla flavors and aroma and softness in the mouth.

For its price, the Diseño Malbec is a good value wine. It is dark and rich, with fruit flavors and a smooth finish.
